But then we thought: if we do this one differently, perhaps the answer is YES. The problem with popular foodie bloggers and food blogs in Vancouver is when they walk into a restaurant or bar they get treated like a VIP. They get the best service, the best food and the best deal. They get invited to foodie blogger circle jerks with restaurant PR and marketing people and have experiences that are developed to be magical. This may be reflective of a restaurant on their best-night-in-the-history-of-doing business, but this isn’t reflective of the restaurant on any other day, and this sure as shit isn’t reflective of the average customer experience. The goal of this site and our social channels is to share our fave places. Our fave places usually have that magic trifecta of: great food, really great drinks and great service.

We will share what we love and hate about each of our stops. We will never reveal ourselves to the staff or to you.

Our rating scale is simple: Is this experience better than Netflix and wine?

Some other deets about us:

we drink too much

we have a weakness for pretty much any type of drink or food except anything that uses “smoke sauce”

we have always been the “go-to” friends and family for new restaurant suggestions/bars/best new dishes

we don’t discriminate – chains, indie, local, multinational we love and hate all things equally and all price points

we are magnets for bad service

we are not writers, and frankly, we don’t give a shit, so if you wanna hate about our lackadaisical use of the english language and punctuation – go read a novel, because this is a blog about drinking
